The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named a 15-member Pakistan Shaheens squad on Tuesday for the 50-over ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026. The tournament runs from November 19 to 29 in Qatar.

Abdul Samad will captain the Shaheens, who enter as defending champions. The draw places them in Group B with India A, Nepal and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Group A features Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A, Hong Kong China and Sri Lanka A.

The Shaheens open against UAE on November 20 at the University of Doha for Science and Technology. They will then play India A on November 22 and Nepal on November 24 at West End Park International Cricket Stadium. The semi-finals take place on November 26 and 27, and the final follows on Sunday, November 29. All three knockout matches take place at West End Park.

Samad leads a batting group that includes Hasan Nawaz, Maaz Sadaqat, Haider Ali, Shahzaib Khan, Farhan Yousuf and Shamyl Hussain. Rohail Nazir is the designated wicketkeeper.

Left-arm spin all-rounder Danish Aziz, leg-spinner Saad Masood and Sufyan Moqim make up the spin department. Mohammad Hasnain leads the pace attack alongside Ahmed Daniyal, left-armer Akif Javed and Muhammad Imran Randhawa. Daniyal became the Shaheens’ super-over hero in the previous edition.

The Shaheens last won the 50-over version of the tournament in 2023 in Sri Lanka, where they beat India A by 128 runs. In the T20 edition that followed, they edged Bangladesh A in a final that a super over settled.

Pakistan finished as runners-up in the first two editions in 2013 and 2017, then won the title in 2019.

Squad: Abdul Samad (captain), Ahmed Daniyal, Akif Javed, Danish Aziz, Farhan Yousuf, Haider Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Maaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Hasnain, Muhammad Imran Randhawa, Rohail Nazir (wk), Saad Masood, Shahzaib Khan, Shamyl Hussain, Sufyan Moqim
