Netizens have expressed anger and concern over an incident at Sanskriti Model School in India’s Panchkula, where a Class III student repeatedly attacked a kindergarten girl with stones and a flower pot, leaving her seriously injured.

The incident has sparked debate over children’s safety in schools, parental responsibility and the influence of violent content on young minds, with several users questioning how the attack continued without intervention from school staff.

Reacting to the incident, one user questioned the school’s supervision, writing, “Where were the school staff, dude? They don’t even leave the open class for the little kids.” Another questioned the boy’s upbringing, asking, “What kind of upbringing did this one’s parents give them?”

Some users called for strict action against the boy, with one suggesting that he should be placed in a juvenile reform facility, while another argued that although he was a child, his behaviour posed a serious danger to others.

The incident also prompted calls for punishment against the boy’s parents, with some users blaming them for failing to instil values in their child.

One comment read, “This is not some kid, it’s the upbringing of this monster who learned it from his parents.”

Others expressed shock over the repeated nature of the attack, pointing out that the girl was being hit on the head from the beginning, even before the boy picked up a stone.

One user said that the footage was so disturbing that it caused nausea and called for the boy to be treated as a serious offender.

Others turned towards the possible influence of films, television and social media on children.

One person blamed violent scenes in South Indian films, while another said that repeated exposure to reels could build aggression in young minds.

Another post also argued that people often overlooked how different individuals interpreted films and television programmes, adding that violent behaviour among boys was becoming a concern.

A comment criticised a lack of awareness among teachers and school administrators and urged parents to insist on stronger safety arrangements in schools.

Several users also called for the boy and his family to face the same physical violence, reflecting the anger surrounding the incident.

Meanwhile, police are questioning the school management and the boy’s parents to establish how the attack took place and whether adequate supervision was in place. The injured girl’s condition, initially reported as critical, is now said to be stable.
