The Pakistan vs India match has drawn the strongest demand in the ticket ballot for the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027, with more than 110,000 applications, organisers said on Tuesday.

The two teams meet on October 10, 2027, at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

Fans submitted applications for more than 1.1 million tickets during the opening weekend of the ballot. More than 320,000 fans have registered, while the ballot stays open until November 21, 2026.

South Africa’s game against India has received more than 92,000 applications, and more than 86,000 have come in for India v Australia.

International Cricket Council (ICC) chief executive Sanjog Gupta said, “One million ticket applications in just over 48 hours of opening the ticket ballot is a demonstration of the attention, stature and affiliation for ICC Cricket World Cup 2027.”

South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia co-host the 14-team tournament. Entering the ballot is free and does not guarantee tickets. Where demand for a match exceeds supply, a random draw decides who can buy.
